Victor Harbor Rotary Club Art Show
Each January, artists from all over Australia exhibit their treasured pieces in the annual Victor Harbor Rotary Art Show for their chance at winning a share of a large cash prize. This exhibition attracts many art lovers and is the second largest outdoor exhibition in Australia.
Fleurieu Peninsula Biennale
The Fleurieu Peninsula Biennale is a significant arts festival, which takes place biennially on South Australia's famous Fleurieu Peninsula - world renowned for its wine, food and rich art history. Since its inception in 1998, the Biennale has grown to become a national visual arts festival which provides, as the cornerstone of the event, Australia's richest prize for landscape painting, the Fleurieu Art Prize, offering $50,000 to the winning artist.
Other Events
The Yankalilla Quilt Auction and Exhibition takes place every two years (odd years). The event attracts quilts and quilters from all over the state. The Auction is considered a premier event with quilts attracting high prices. This event is a must for people with an interest and passion for quilting as well as for those people who appreciate fine craftsmanship. The annual Strathalbyn Eisteddford provides budding musicians and dancers a public platform.
The Langhorne Creek Winemakers sponsor a biennial art exhibition in the Stationmasters Gallery, Strathalbyn.
