Blaze is South Australia's only newspaper specifically for the gay and lesbian community. You can read the latest issues online, as well as archived issues and news from around the world. The Gay & Lesbian Community Service offers information, counselling, referrals, accommodation and library. Counselling available 7pm to 10pm weeknights and 2pm to 5pm weekends. Tel: +61 8 8422 8400.
Metropolitan Community Church is an inter-denominational Christian church serving the gay and lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender and straight communities. Sunday 7pm, Quaker Meeting House, 40 Pennington Terrace, North Adelaide. Tel: +61 8 8346 7267.
If you're interested in sports, dancing and other activities, read about Team Adelaide, an organisation promoting gay and lesbian sports in South Australia. There's tennis (mixed and women's), ten pin bowling, squash, movie nights and an annual cabaret. They're also involved in coordinating teams for the Gay Games and Australian Gaymes.
We're also home to a choir called the Adelaide Gay and Lesbian Qwire. You can find out about their performances on their website.
The Gay and Lesbian Immigration Taskforce offers migration advice and assistance. And Inside Out is free confidential health service for same-sex attracted men 25 years and under in South Australia.
