Getting Around
Adelaide is sometimes known as the 20 minute city because it's so compact and easy to get around. You can drive from the city centre to the beach in around 20 minutes.
Adelaide has an excellent public transport system, with a bus and train network taking you into the suburbs. The Adelaide Railway Station is in the city centre beneath SkyCity casino.
You'll find all your public transport information at the AdelaideMetro Info Centre at the corner of King William and Currie Streets in the city. You can buy an adult Multitrip ticket which gives you ten trips on Adelaide's buses and trains. A variety of other tickets and concessions are available. Explore the city centre on a bike supplied by the Adelaide City Council. It's free for up to two hours, then an hourly rate applies.
