Wirrabara Forest Reserve
Wirrabara Forest in the Southern Flinders Ranges offers walking trails, scenic drives, picnic grounds and more.
The Heyson Trail and its various spurs provide access to The Bluff and to the Top Of The Range. The Heyson Trail provides spectacular views of Spencer Gulf.
Bushwalker permits for the Wirrabara Forest can be obtained from the Forest Headquarters and there are a number of scenic drives through the forest on public roads.
Picnics can be enjoyed in the picnic ground adjacent to the Forest Headquarters. Ippinitchie camping ground is open all year except on days of total fire bans.
