Seal Bay Conservation Park
At Seal Bay Conservation Park, Kangaroo Island, you can join one of the regular guided tours to see the endangered Australian Sea-lions in their natural environment of coastal vegetation, dunes and beach.
Wander along the 800-metre boardwalk which meanders through the sand dunes to viewing platforms where you can observe the sea-lions surfing the waves or sunning themselves on the beach while you enjoy the stunning coastal scenery.
As well as the sea lions, guests may also see some of the many other birds and animals which make their home in the park.
Seal Bay is a 45-minute drive from Kingscote. Beach access to the sea-lion colony is by guided tour only but sea-lions can also be seen from the self-guided boardwalk. Special pre-sunset tours are also available in summer school holidays. Entry tickets can be purchased from Seal Bay Visitor Information Centre, where you can learn more about these fascinating creatures and also browse for souvenirs.
