Anzac Light on the Water
ANZAC Light on the Water 2010 is a commemorative tribute to all those lost at sea in World War Two. This includes Army, Navy, Air Force, Merchant Navy, medical and rescue organisations and civilians.
Local school students have made 3000 candle-lit cardboard boats that will be floated on the Port River in a moving and emotional tribute to all those lost at sea. Local Surf Lifesavers will float the candle-lit boats from pontoons in front of Fisherman's Wharf Markets.
Other attractions of the event include the wonderful community Choir of Hope and Harmony, the world renowned South Australian Pipes and Drums Band, Naval March and Salute, a Cannon Salute, Commemorative Service and a lone piper.
Speakers will include the Mayor of Port Adelaide Enfield Gary Johanson and Federal Minister Parliament Mark Butler.
