Nature
In the Adelaide Hills, you can get close to native animals at our wildlife parks, follow trails through leafy bushland, stop to take in lofty views, and explore manicured gardens.
Don't miss Cleland Wildlife Park, where you can see animals in an open-range bushland setting. It's home to more than 120 native species, including wombats, echidnas, kangaroos, wallabies and dingoes. Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is set on 14 hectares of regenerated bushland and home to potoroos, platypuses, kangaroos, bilbies, bandicoots and bettongs. And don't miss Gorge Wildlife Park or Saunders Gorge Wildlife Sanctuary.
The shady Mount Lofty Botanic Garden provides a wonderful escape, and Mount Lofty Summit offers views of the Adelaide Plains, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Read on for more information on our trails, parks and great outdoors.
