Heysen Trail, from the Adelaide Hills, Kuitpo Forest to Mount Crawford

As well as being a great six-day walk, with plenty of camping opportunities, the Adelaide Hills section of the Heysen Trail offers some excellent shorter walks, ideal for people of all ages and abilities. And, if camping isn't your style, the Adelaide Hills offer numerous accommodation options close to the trail, including bed and breakfasts, motels and caravan parks.

Native eucalyptus trees line the back roads leading to Trial Hill, where cyclists will find dry grown vines and a magnificent view of the Barossa Valley. There is plenty of choice when it comes to accommodation; five-star boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts and budget backpacker accommodation can all be found here.
