When vintage comes around, it's not only the region that cheers - the whole world raises a glass. Our winemakers are innovative, meticulous and internationally-renowned.

To the delight of many cellar-door visitors they are also accessible. Don't be surprised if you're served a champion wine by the person who name is on the label.

Everyone has their favourites but here are some of our well-known brands:

  • Jim Barry - the late Jim Barry's work is continued by his sons
  • Sevenhill Cellars - established in 1851 by Jesuits, this is the oldest existing winery in the Clare Valley
  • Pikes - famous for its riesling which is chock full of citrus flavours 
  • Annie's Lane - awarded with over 350 trophies and medals at wine shows since the first release in 1996
  • Skillogalee - family-owned boutique winery with a fantastic restaurant
  • Mount Horrocks - winemaker Stephanie Toole's Cordon Cut Riesling has been enjoyed by both the Queen and Brad Pitt
  • Taylors Wines - third genertion family estate located just outside of Auburn
  • Stringy Brae of Sevenhill - produces of fantastic Riesling and also Waldie's Lager
