Fishing on the Eyre Peninsula
The Eyre Peninsula is one of the finest fishing destinations in Australia.
It offers top spots from Whyalla to the Western Australia border, where abundant and varied catches are the norm.
You'll find excellent fishing for Mulloway, Salmon Trout, King George Whiting, Snook and Tommy Ruffs right around the coast. It's also worth keeping an eye out for abalone, Razor Fish, scallops and Southern Rock Lobsters in many bays. Your catch can vary from the succulent King George Whiting and Snapper, to tasty tuna or Kingfish. Blue Swimmer Crabs, sand crabs and squid are other popular species caught on Eyre Peninsula.
Join a fishing charter or hire a boat for half day or longer, or visit any of the attractions along Australia's Seafood and Aquaculture Trail.
