Ferry
There are two sea ferry journeys to enjoy in South Australia. One takes you to the nature haven of Kangaroo Island, while the other links Yorke Peninsula with Eyre Peninsula. Both services are car and passenger ferries.
Kangaroo Island ferries
SeaLink Ferries take you on the 45 minute crossing by ferry from Cape Jervis in the south to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. SeaLink operate two large, fast and comfortable ocean going ferries. The luxury ferry Sealion 2000 is an international standard passenger and vehicle ferry complete with air conditioned lounge, aircraft-type seating and a licensed cafe. Sit on the top deck and enjoy the sunshine, or relax with a beer, wine or freshly made coffee and fresh snacks in the lounge.
Kangaroo Island Ferries links Wirrina Cove and Kingscote. You have the flexibility of picking up day tours at a time and place that suits you best and fits in with your existing travel plans.
Yorke Peninsula ferry
SeaSA transfers between Wallaroo on Yorke Peninsula and Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula. There are six services daily, seven days a week and the journey takes one hour and 45 minutes.

Murray River Ferries
In the Murraylands, ferries for vehicles cross the river at Mannum, Purnong, Swan Reach, Tailem Bend, Walker Flat and Wellington within the Murraylands. Ferry services are also available at various locations throughout the Riverland. In the Riverland, you can cross the Murray River on car ferries in Morgan, Cadell, Waikerie and Lyrup. Ferries operate 24 hours, seven days, and are free.
