Fleurieu Peninsula Beaches

If it's a beach holiday you're after, head to the Fleurieu Peninsula's sandy shoreline.

Port Elliot, one of the loveliest coastal villages in South Australia, sits tightly clustered around Horseshoe Bay, a small but perfect swimming beach, while Victor Harbor, on the wide, sandy arc of Encounter Bay, has all the facilities of a regional centre yet still manages to combine a well-weathered sense of history with brighter and newer tourist attractions. 

Middleton Beach is another popular place all year round, with people heading to this coastline which provides great whale watching and surf during winter.

From Christies Beach to Cape Jervis you are sure to find a beachcombing spot just right for you.  With beautiful white sandy beaches, spectacular views and great swimming, all you will need is your boogie board, some beach cricket and a picnic.

Unusually these days, car parking is still allowed on the sand at several of its beaches, including Goolwa, Sellicks, Aldinga and Moana, providing a rare chance for a perfect picnic right beside the sea.
