Waves on the mid and south coasts of South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula have been rewarding surfers for generations.

From just south of metropolitan Adelaide, the mid-coast stretches from Christies Beach along a spectacular coastline, through South Port, Seaford, Moana and onto Sellicks Beach. There are ideal beach breaks for the novice as well as exciting reef breaks for the experienced, serious surfer. Summer swells and winter storms provide a variety of surfing opportunities on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Running from the mouth of the River Murray westwards through Goolwa, Day Street, Middleton, Victor Harbor and on to Waitpinga and Parsons Beach, the south coast enjoys large swells direct from the Southern Ocean. As with all breaks, tides, wind direction and swell size affect the quality of the waves and the south coast offers a range of surfing experiences.

You can find gentle beach breaks suitable for long boards and beginners, protected coves, seriously heavy bodyboard sites and the clean power of light offshore winds at Waitpinga.
