Each year between June and October, giant Southern Right Whales return to the waters of Victor Harbor's Encounter Bay. During Whale Watching Season, you can call the Whale Info Hotline - 1900 WHALES (1900 942 537). It provides information on the most recent sightings.

The Fleurieu Biennale
7 November - 30 November McLaren Vale
A significant arts festival, which celebrates the visual arts and in particular landscape painting. The Biennale provides, as the cornerstone of the event, Australia's richest prize for landscape painting, the Fleurieu Art Prize, which offers AUD50,000 to the winning artist.
