Air
Rex Airlines can take you to Coober Pedy and also Whyalla, to get you closer to the Flinders Ranges and Outback region.

Coach/Bus
Greyhound Australia and Premier Stateliner has daily coach services into the Flinders and Outback region.

Train
Ride the legendary Ghan or Indian Pacific - both with stop overs in Port Augusta and operated by Great Southern Rail. The train takes you from Adelaide in Australia's south, to Darwin in the north - the longest passenger train in Australia's history.

You can enjoy two nights aboard this great train in either direction. Marvel at the spectacular Australian landscapes, from green countryside through to red desert lands. Special carriages are available, like the Chairman's Carriage and Prince of Wales Carriage. Enjoy the on-board dining and lounges.

The Ghan's 47 hour, 2979 kilometre journey features off-train touring options at Port Augusta and legendary opal mining town Coober Pedy. It's an opportunity for you to combine one of the world's great train journeys with the spectacular Outback.
