The Flinders Ranges is home to the award-winning Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary. Located in the heart of the rugged northern Flinders Ranges, Arkaroola offers you an Outback experience with spectacular scenery, geological treasures, Aboriginal Dreaming and pioneering history. Arkaroola is one of Australia's most remote and self-sustaining tourist villages, providing a wide range of tours, activities and accommodation.
There's also Rawnsley Park Station, a working sheep station where you can find accommodation including luxurious eco villas and family units, all within a natural bushland setting. Rawnsley Park offers a complete Outback experience with spectacular scenery, bushwalking trails, scenic flights and four wheel drive tours.
The famed Prairie Hotel offers accommodation too, as well as its unique feral food and a friendly front bar. It provides great views of the Flinders Ranges.
In towns like Port Augusta, you'll find plenty of hotels and motels, plus a caravan park. And head to the opal mining town of Coober Pedy for the chance to stay in an underground motel!
