See one of astronaut Andy Thomas's space suits at the South Australian Museum. The museum has five floors, with treasures from the past such as dinosaurs and the giant squid. Younger children love the World Mammals exhibition on the ground floor, with life-size creatures like a lion, elephant and more.
Climb aboard a full-scale copy of a sailing ketch at the South Australian Maritime Museum in Port Adelaide. Further afield, you can explore the HMAS Whyalla - the first modern warship built in South Australia - at the Whyalla Maritime Museum.
