Watersports
Get wet in the Riverland.
With kilometres of uncrowded waterways, the Riverland is an ideal spot to get wet during your Murray River holiday.
Experience the thrill of water-skiing, barefooting, kneeboarding, wakeboarding or tubing.
Lake Bonney
Barmera's Lake Bonney is perfect for canoeing, skiing, sailing and other water sports, as well as offering a safe swimming environment for families. Most towns throughout the Riverland provide for water-skiing and other water sports with boat ramps and riverside reserves offering facilities. Some include campsites.

Murray River backwaters
Explore the Murray River National Park, flowing through the Riverland. Its wide lakes, narrow creeks, wetlands and stretches of river provide some of the best spots to canoe in South Australia. Try Loch Luna, Katarapko Creek and Chowilla. All three are a photographer's paradise and a variety of native wildlife can be found in all areas.
Hire equipment
Towns throughout the Riverland offer hire venues for skiing and other water sports with boat ramps commonplace along the Murray. You can hire a canoe or kayak from Riverland Leisure Canoe Tours or some local caravan parks and houseboat operators.
River maps
Waterproof canoe maps containing suggested routes and good canoeing information are available from Riverland Visitor Information Centres and Canoe SA.
