Horseriding
If you're after a relaxing horse ride through beautiful scenery, try South Australia's forests, offering plenty of trails ideal for horseriding.
Kuitpo Forest, 45 minutes south of Adelaide, has a number of horseriding trails and is easily accessible with a range of entry points and plenty of parking for floats.
Enjoy some of South Australia's majestic countryside along the Kidman Trail, with its forest tracks and quiet country roads. Stretching 200 kilometres from Willunga in the Fleurieu Peninsula to Kapunda in the Clare Valley, the Kidman Trail is a multi-use trail developed specifically for horse riders. The first section of the trail from Willunga to Echunga is open, with the remaining sections to Kapunda in planning and development stages. Trailheads providing information on horse yards, campsites and float parking will be installed along the route.

A little closer to the city, the Tom Roberts Trail, a multi-use trail, winds through 18.5 kilometres of Belair National Park.
If you don't have your own horse there's a number of tourism operators across South Australia that can get you in the saddle. You can check out the countryside with Burra Trail Rides, head out bush with the horses at Rawnsley Park Station.
