Tourism Eyre Peninsula
Tourism Eyre Peninsula (TEP) is the tourism marketing organisation for Eyre Peninsula. The role and charter of the organisation is to:
- market, promote and develop the region of 'Eyre Peninsula' as a visitor destination
- produce business for industry stakeholders and provide cooperative marketing activities
- facilitate economic and social growth for the region
- continue ongoing partnerships with tourism industry focused groups including local government, town/community associations, regional development boards, Department for Environment & Heritage & Flinders Regional Area Consultative Committee.
TEP is part of the South Australian Tourism Commission's Regional Marketing Unit and employs three full-time staff based in Port Lincoln. TEP also manages the Whyalla Tourism Development Officer, based in Whyalla.
Tourism Eyre Peninsula's Marketing Committee
This committee is made up of 17 representatives from across the region and includes:
- two local government representatives
- one nominated representative Far West (Ceduna, Nullarbor, Far West)
- one nominated representative Central (Kimba, Wudinna, Gawler Ranges, Poochera, Minnipa)
- one nominated representative Western (Elliston, Streaky Bay, Venus Bay, Port Kenny, Lock)
- one nominated representative Eastern (Cleve, Cowell, Whyalla, Iron Knob, Arno Bay)
- one nominated representative Lower (Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln, Cummins, Coffin Bay, Port Neill)
- three Visitor Information Centre representatives (Whyalla, Port Lincoln & Ceduna)
- three specialist representatives with relevant business skills concentrating in the field of marketing, product development & infrastructure/planning
- two development board representatives (Eyre Regional Development Board & Whyalla Economic Development Board)
- one Department for Environment & Heritage representative
- one South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) employed regional marketing manager
