Getting Here and Around
Yorke Peninsula begins an easy 90 minute drive from Adelaide. Highway One takes you north to Port Wakefield where you begin your journey westward, down the peninsula.
Drive
Bringing your own vehicle is recommended. The road conditions are good with easy driving and close proximity between towns and attractions throughout Yorke Peninsula. It makes for the ideal South Australian holiday experience.
Bus/coach
Yorke Peninsula Coaches operate regular services to towns on Yorke Peninsula, from the Adelaide Bus Station in Franklin Street. There are limited bus services between major towns on the peninsula.
Ferry
Sea SA Car and Passenger Ferries has temporarily suspended all services between Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula and Lucky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula while a new ferry is constructed. Sea SA plans to resume daily services by the end of 2010, on the arrival of the new ferry Aurora.
Taxi
