Adelaide is South Australia’s capital city. It is easily accessed by air from all Australian capital cities and many international destinations. Adelaide Airport is only eight kilometres from the centre of the city, which is about a 15 minute drive.

Virgin Australia, Qantas Airways and Jetstar offer frequent daily services to Adelaide Airport.

Getting to and from the airport

There is a $AUD2 levy on all taxi fares to and from the airport. The average taxi fare from the city centre to the airport is $AUD20. JetBus provides transport between the airport, Adelaide city and some suburbs.

The 92-seat double decker JetExpress bus provides an efficient service hourly between 5am and 10am and again from 4pm to 9pm on weekdays. The service picks up and drops off passengers on Grote Street and proceeds via Pultney Street and North Terrace to cater for the major hotels in the city centre. International air travel to Adelaide
Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Virgin Australia and Jetstar International fly to Adelaide from various countries. Qantas offers international access to Adelaide through code-shared services with Emirates.
