Oakbank Easter Carnival
Located in the stunning Adelaide Hills, Oakbank Racecourse is home to jumps racing in South Australia, which combines with flat racing to make two days of thrilling racing at the Oakbank Easter Carnival (19 to 21 April) each year. The Oakbank Racing Club has held the iconic Easter Racing Carnival since 1876 - an event which attracts more than 60,000 visitors annually and qualifies as the world’s biggest picnic race meeting.
Cadell Harvest Festival
The Cadell Harvest Festival is held annually each Easter Saturday and is a great community event. The annual giant pumpkin competition has become a highlight of the festival. The heaviest giant pumpkin grower will win a trip to the United States courtesy of MGA Insurance Brokers. The festival boasts an array of good old fashioned country style competitions and creative events such as cockroach racing, carp tossing, an Easter hunt for the children as well as orange and grape throwing.
SACE Art Show 2014
The SACE Art Show 2014 showcases the creative talents of many of South Australia's finest emerging young artists and designers. The exhibition includes about 150 art and design works, including paintings and drawings, sculpture, costumes, photography and innovative multimedia pieces. The exhibition displays quality work produced by SACE art and design students from government, Catholic and independent schools throughout South Australia.
