Established by the Jesuits in 1851, Sevenhill Cellars is the oldest and arguably the finest existing winery in South Australia's world famous Clare Valley wine region. Originally established to provide sacramental wine for religious purposes, today Sevenhill Cellars is considered one of Australia's best premium wine producers and is also a thriving tourist attraction.
Sevenhill Cellars produce a range of quality white, red and fortified wines that are enjoyed by wine enthusiasts throughout the world. Possessing highly desirable rich varietal characters and a rare depth of intricate flavours, Sevenhill’s wines are a regular favourite with wine judges.
The quality of their wines and the historical and religious significance of the winery attract thousands of tourists to Sevenhill Cellars each year. Visitors are able to taste and purchase wine at the cellar door, explore the remarkable underground cellars, visit the Crypt which is the resting place for 41 Jesuits, discover walking trails or enjoy a picnic in our stunning grounds.
