Broken Hill based Tri State Safaris is Australia's most awarded four wheel drive tour company. Specialising in small group tours of the diverse Outback Australia, they have been recognised on local, state and national levels for their dedication and passion.
Tours are designed for small groups, with passengers, escorted groups and tag-along participants all catered for.

Itineraries range from one day to 17 days and destinations include Broken Hill, White Cliffs, Corner Country, various outback National Parks, Flinders Ranges, Simpson Desert, Central Australia, the Kimberley region and Cape York. See the real outback with its enormous diversity of landscapes, wildlife and real bush characters.

Tri State Safaris has now amassed six gold and three silver trophies at the Australian Tourism Awards, with categories including Adventure Tourism, Tour and/or Transport Operator and Indigenous Tourism. Amongst our many accreditations they were one of the first New South Wales tourism businesses to receive TQUAL accreditation.

Four Day Flinders Ranges Tour Experience

Experience life on one of the most historic sheep stations in the Flinders whilst being captivated by the inspiring scenery of the beautiful and rugged ranges.

Travel via Waukaringa Ruins to the northern Flinders and stay in the historic shearer's quarters for three nights. Visit Wilpena Pound, Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges, Blinman township before exploring more of the local area, including the ancient rock art in Chambers Gorge, and the Grindstone Ranges. Follow the southern Flinders to Hawker, Orroroo and back to Broken Hill..

Five Day Lake Eyre Discovery Tour

When Lake Eyre does fill, it becomes the biggest lake in Australia, the 'inland sea' inhabited by an abundance of wildlife. It truly is a birdwatchers paradise!

Even when water flows in to part-fill the lake via great inland rivers, the Diamantina, Cooper Creek and the Warburton, the spectacle is breathtaking. Due to recent heavy rains in south west Queensland, Lake Eyre is expected to be full once again in 2012

One Day Broken Hill and Silverton Explorer

This full day tour is designed to highlight the diversity of the Broken Hill and the Silverton area.

The tour starts by viewing some of Broken Hill's heritage listed architecture, exploring the diversity of parks, gardens, mines and homes in this outback oasis. Visit some of our famous art galleries, the Big Picture and the Line of Lode, before heading to Silverton.

Enjoy a drink at the famous Silverton Hotel, marvel at the vast expanse of Mundi Mundi Plains.

The last stop for the day is at the spectacular Sculpture Symposium on the edge of Broken Hill. This is one of Australia's most renowned sculpture collections and an experience not to be missed.

Eight Day Corner Country and Birdsville Adventure

One Day Menindee/Kinchega National Park

After many years of being dry, the rain has come and the Menindee Lakes are again brimming with water and birdlife. There are many picture postcard opportunities as you enjoy a relaxing day exploring the area.

Enjoy morning tea on the banks of Lake Pamamaroo. Explore the spectacular Menindee Lakes System, which is many times larger than Sydney Harbour.

Travel through Kinchega National Park, to see kangaroo, emu and abundant birdlife. Visit the historic Woolshed, and then follow the Darling River as it winds through massive stands of Red Gums to Menindee Township. Learn about the fascinating pastoral and aboriginal history of the area.

One Day Mutawintji National Park

Experience an interpretive tour of Mutawintji National Park.

Travel through ever changing landscapes of the Barrier Ranges, salt bush plains, mulga and red sand country. Enjoy homemade cake and a cuppa under the shade of a tree in a dry creek bed. Enjoy two interpretive bush walks to the engravings site and stencils site and discover the remnants of fire places and stone tool making which gives us an insight into traditional life in the area.

Three Day Mungo Deluxe Eco Tour

Step back in time with a tour to the World Heritage listed Lake Mungo, where evidence of human occupation dates back over 40,000 years. Six Day Reisling and Ranges Tour

Taste the local vintage as you tour through the Clare Valley, stopping at some of the region's local wineries to sample the flavours that have made this picturesque community famous. Find yourself standing in the natural amphitheatre that is Wilpena Pound, as you explore the strong indigenous and pastoral culture that is abundant throughout the Flinders Ranges. Tri State Safaris strongly recommend that you also book onto the optional Wilpena Pound scenic flight.

Journey on into the heart of the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, amidst an abundance of native flora and fauna and over 160 different species of birdlife. Be inspired by the magnificence of the rugged mountains and towering granite peaks as you travel past mysterious waterholes on the famous Ridgetop Tour.

Explore the Brachina and Bunyeroo gorges and Wirrealpa Station, learn about indigenous culture at the site of one of Australia's most extensive Aboriginal rock art engravings, and soak up the atmosphere at Chamber's Gorge.
