Enjoy a stroll through Hahndorf, Australia's oldest surviving German settlement, founded in the 1840s. It is home to a range of quality boutique and gourmet food producers with fascinating little road-side stalls which are a common site alongside farmers markets. Venture on and explore what the rest of the Adelaide Hills. Varietals available to taste are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Other attractions visited include: Cleland Wildlife Park where you can cuddle a koala, Mount Lofty Summit where you can enjoy panoramic views of Adelaide, Beerenberg Farm - home to home-style preserves, jams, condiments and sauces, and Melba's Chocolate Factory where they still make sweets the old fashioned way.
