Enjoy the tranquillity of “1860” Wine Country Cottages, situated on seven acres in the Eden Valley. The property has a sense of history; it includes the original Kuchel family homestead, together with outbuildings, built from 1860. The old stone dairy has been totally rebuilt to create the current “1860” accommodation, comprising two adjoining fully self-contained private cottages.
“1860” is surrounded by rolling hills, an adjacent alpaca farm and, directly across the road, a winery, cellar door and restaurant. It is a perfect base for day trips to enjoy quality local wine and food, is close the National Parks walking tracks and to Barossa and Adelaide Hills wineries.
Sunset cottage has two large bedrooms, bathroom, ensuite and full kitchen. Dawn cottage is open plan with kitchenette and separate ensuite. Both have parking, outdoor area with barbecue and Dawn cottage has a separate elevated timber deck. Polished timber floors, stone walls and mini orb ceiling add to their warmth and charm. They are beautifully appointed with modern amenities and a blend of new and antique furnishings.
Provisions for breakfast are provided, as well as complimentary wine, Muscat and chocolates.
“1860” provides a memorable, relaxed country experience.
