Pass the lake with the longest place name in Australia (Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, Cadi for short) and arrive at the largest salt lake in Australia (Lake Eyre). Haligan Bay is the only accessible point by road (track) to the western side of Lake Eyre. The track is not easy, but it is the only way to get to the lake other than by air.
