Adelaide is an ideal place to start a golfing holiday. The prestigious courses of Royal Adelaide, Kooyonga, Grange and Glenelg, are all located near Adelaide’s coastline. They are all within 20 minutes of the city and are ranked inside Australia’s Top 100.

Adelaide city and surrounds

The City of Adelaide Golf Links has two public courses located in the wide belt of parkland surrounding the city centre. Tee off at North Adelaide Golf Course. This public course is walking distance from most city accommodation.

The jewel in Adelaide’s golfing crown is the Royal Adelaide Golf Club. It is one of the six Australian courses ranked inside the World’s Top 100. Royal Adelaide offers an extremely enjoyable golfing experience. With undulating sand hills, Kooyonga Golf Club is also a wonderful championship golf course. Kooyonga has hosted many international and interstate championships.

Grange Golf Club has two internationally rated 18-hole courses. Glenelg Golf Club’s course covers 49 hectares and features seasonal wetland areas.

Adelaide Hills

Just 20 minutes away, the picturesque Adelaide Hills offers excellent golfing at Mount Osmond and Mount Lofty. Mount Osmond Golf Club has stunning views of Adelaide, the Mount Lofty Ranges and coastline.

Mt Barker-Hahndorf Golf Club boasts 18 holes, par 70 rating. Old gum trees line the course, while the strategically placed ponds and creeks provide an interesting challenge.
