Barossa Visitor Information Centres

Visitor Information Centres will help you make the most of your time in the Barossa.

Whether you need directions, suggestions or local knowledge, drop in and say "hi". Just look for the blue sign with a yellow "i" on it. There are three centres in the Barossa - at Tanunda, Gawler and Kapunda and all are open seven days.

Accredited Visitor Information Centre

The Barossa Visitor Information Centre is in Tanunda. It has bundles of maps and brochures. Find details of attractions and activities. Get a map of local wineries and cellar doors. Book accommodation and tours or find out where to eat dinner.

Barossa Visitor Information Centre

The Barossa Visitor Centre is co-located with the library in Tanunda and can assist visitors with regional maps, guides, books and information on the Barossa.

The centre offers free wi-fi internet access and internet stations, accommodation, attraction and tour reservation services, Butcher, Baker, Winemaker VIP voucher book sales, local produce, coffee, exclusive gifts and souvenirs and an interesting and informative interpretive display.

Car parking is provided at the rear of the centre off Julius Street.

Gawler Visitor Information Centre

Stop at the Gawler Visitor Information Centre on your way into the Barossa. It's on a state bus route from Adelaide and also has easy car parking. The centre has about 2,500 visitors every month.

The staff are locals and know everything about the area. They're more than happy to assist with any enquiry.

Find out about things to do, places to stay and local history. Get internet access. Buy bus tickets and train tickets. The centre also sells souvenirs and local crafts.

Kapunda Visitor Information Centre

You'll find the Kapunda Visitor Information Centre in the same building as the local library, art gallery and craft shop. All three are in a heritage listed building in the centre of this old mining town.

You can buy local souvenirs. Friendly staff at the centre can assist with local and regional queries. The centre stocks a range of tourism brochures and books and has the popular "Taste of the Region" interpretive display.
