Cruise South Australia

Enjoying Southern Ocean Cruising

International and domestic cruises berth in South Australia on a range of vessels, from smaller boutique ships to mega-liners. There are two berths; one at Port Adelaide-Outer Harbor and the other at Port Lincoln; and two anchorages, one at Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island and the other at Robe.

Crystal Serenity Cruise Ship at Outer Harbor

Each cruise ship docking in South Australia offers a range of unique and memorable experiences. Take a tour of our world class wine regions – Barossa, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley and the Adelaide Hills. Visit the heritage village of Hahndorf, or enjoy a native wildlife experience at Cleland Conservation Park. In Port Lincoln, experience the adrenaline rush of swimming with tuna or cage-diving with sharks or explore the stunning coastal scenery. On Kangaroo Island, see native wildlife in a pristine natural habitat, try unique local food and wines, or visit natural and spectacular rock formations hewn by the sea over thousands of years.

See the sights near your port-of-call by taking either half-day or full-day shore excursions. You can also choose to sight-see independently using the information available from our Meet and Greet volunteers at each port - who are easy to spot in their distinctive uniforms. They can advise you about things to see and do, public transport and what’s on when you arrive in port. South Australia is renowned for many things; including food and wine, our natural environment and fantastic wildlife experiences. Get out there and experience it!

Take advantage of your time ashore in Adelaide and visit a local market, including the vibrant Adelaide Central Market. It is full of buzzing characters and full of the fresh produce South Australia is so justifiably proud of and known for. Or, perhaps visit our city's main shopping precinct, Rundle Mall, for some serious retail therapy.
