Holland America Line honours the traditions of cruising. It features a dark wooden theme, with brass and solid furniture throughout and lots of flowers. It is aimed at mature couples or singles that like to travel in comfort and a warm environment. It provides a comfortable, homely feeling.
The Amsterdam is the third ship to bear the name of the Dutch capital, over Holland America’s 135 year history. Built in Marghera, Italy, the Amsterdam blends the very latest in ship building technology with fine artistry. At the heart of the Amsterdam is the Planeto Astrolabium, a commissioned signature sculpture, soaring in a three-story atrium.
Accommodation on the Amsterdam is spread over five decks and includes 690 cabins. There are sixteen grades of accommodation, designed to suite every passenger. The Amsterdam also prides itself on its accessibility. There are twenty wheelchair accessible cabins and good accessibility throughout. Comfort is of the highest importance on this global cruise ship.
