Adelaide Airport is eight kilometres (5 miles) from the centre of the city, a 15-minute drive. It services regional, domestic and international travellers in one state-of-the-art building, the newest and most efficient aviation terminal in Australia.
The South Australian Visitor & Travel Centre runs an information and booking centre in the main airport building. It is open for every domestic and international flight arrival, 365 days of the year.
There is a A$2 levy on all taxi fares to the new Adelaide Airport. The average taxi fare from the city centre to the airport is A$17.
Skylink Shuttle operates between the airport, city and Interstate Rail Terminal (Keswick) at a cost of A$7.50 one way. JetBus links the airport and the city and some suburbs.

Domestic Air Travel
Qantas Airways and Virgin Blue operate frequent services to Adelaide from Australia's cities. Jetstar operates flights from Darwin, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne (Avalon), Cairns, Hamilton Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. Tiger Airways operates Adelaide flights to and from major centres including Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast.
International Air Travel
Qantas Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Air New Zealand all have international flights into Adelaide from various countries. There are direct flights to Adelaide from New Zealand and Asia, flights from Europe via Asia, and from North America via Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. And Virgin Blue Airpass is available to international travellers flying into Australia on any international carrier who books through the Virgin Blue Airpass website.
Regional Air Travel
The luggage allowance for regional airlines within South Australia varies from 4 to 7 kilograms for carry on luggage and 14 to 15 kilograms for checked luggage depending on the airline. Please check the applicable per person limits upon booking. Locker storage facilities are available at Adelaide Airport carpark.
